Clean Water

Clean water touches everything: health, school attendance, and the daily hours a family spends simply fetching enough to get by.

Through water well projects, AMHE works with communities so safe water is closer to home and lasts beyond a single visit.

Each well begins with the community itself — where water is needed, who will care for it, and how it will be kept working. Digging is hard, patient labor, often shoulder to shoulder with local families. When water finally comes up clean, it isn't a gift dropped off and forgotten; it belongs to the village that helped build it.
